Good Food Month presented by Citi is returning to Brisbane with three delectable foodie feature events plus South Bank Parklands’s Night Noodle Markets throughout July.
Fairfax Media Director of Food Events Venessa Cowell said that this event will definitely give a strong impression and satisfaction to all foodies and visitors. “With hotly-tipped talent, beloved institutions, emerging hotspots and enviable local produce, Brisbane’s dining scene is growing rapidly, and the city is emerging proudly as a leading food destination in Australia. The 2018 Brisbane Good Food Month will celebrate the culinary inspiration that fuels the New World City, shining a light on the talent that paved the way and those that are shaping its future,” said Venessa.
The Good Food Month will begin with Pasta Party at Bucci. Bucci and Sydney Icebergs Dining Room & Bar are sending their Head Chefs Shaun Malone and Monty Koludrovic, two of the country’s biggest names in Italian cooking, to bring their best as they serve up an indulgent four course dinner including their freshest pasta. Each decadent course will be introduced by the Chef and served with a matching glass of equally delicious Brand’s Laira wine from celebrated South Australian wine region, Coonawarra. The party is a unique and rare opportunity which brings two popular and professional chefs from different states to come together in the kitchen in Brisbane, sharing their love of pasta and collective passion for everyone’s favourite cuisine.
It will be wrong to believe that only mature and experienced chefs are able to cook scrumptious meals. Mentored by ARIA Head Chef Ben Russell, Brisbane’s next generation of culinary superstars will make participants an unforgettable four-course lunch with Young Chefs Lunch at ARIA Restaurant, showcasing the impressive skills of young guns of the country’s top kitchens. Russell will be lending his prowess and overseeing the work of the protégés, including Hyosun from Sean, Hwang from ARIA, Brad Cooper from Gauge, Savannah Sexton from Stokehouse Q, and Georgina Phillips from e’cco Bistro. Citi Australia’s Head of Customer Franchise Tanya Smith said that she was so excited to see Good Food Month is happening soon. “We’re particularly excited for the Pasta Party at Citibank Dining Program partner restaurant Bucci, and the Young Chefs Lunch presented by Citi, where Aria Head Chef Ben Russell and Brisbane’s hottest up and coming talent dazzle our audience with their tantalising menu,” she said.
With brilliant Chefs Adam Herbert and Nigel Stanley, Ocean Prime at Walter’s Steakhouse, an all New York lavish Steakhouse in Brisbane, will give the participants old-world classic dish a modern twist for the Good Food Month. Famed for slinging the best in-house dry aged prime beef in town, by adding Bugs, Herbert and Stanley gave their menu that extra dose of decadence. Matched wines from the Brand’s Laira Coonawarra range will also let the participants indulge in these culinary delicacies. Setting Brisbane alight with the smells, sights and sounds of over twenty sizzling Asian food stalls, the Night Noodle Markets is always the most loved and exhilarating event. Food-lovers will feast on signature dishes and innovative new tastes from the likes of Night Noodle Markets veterans, Hoy Pinoy, Waffleland, Teppanyaki Noodles, Donburi Station, Black Star Pastry, N2 Gelato, The Original Korean twist potato, Puffle, Poklol & Shallot Thai. Visitors can also get a delicious glass of wine to enjoy with the delectable Asian fare, drop by the Brand’s Laira pop-up Cellar Door and taste the very best drops from South Australia’s iconic Coonawarra wine region.
