In an Australian first, Gold Coast developer Aniko Group has enlisted the help of a renowned fitness trainer to design and deliver a health club at its $140 million residential project, No. 1 Grant Avenue at Hope Island. Aniko Group is taking community health and wellbeing to a new level by collaborating with personal trainer Michelle Bridges, best known for her training role on The Biggest Loser, her online 12 Week Body Transformation program and her own MB Active label encompassing activewear, footwear, kitchenware and fitness equipment.

The announcement comes on the heels of No 1. Grant Avenue becoming the best-selling project on the Gold Coast. According to the latest Urbis data, the project accounted for almost 25 per cent of all new apartment sales with more than $24 million secured in the September quarter. Aniko Group founder, George Mastrocostas said he and the team were looking forward to working with Ms Bridges to deliver a facility that would encourage active living.

“There is a growing trend in Australia to be more active and this is certainly something we want to encourage and promote,” Mr Mastrocostas said. “We are working very hard to introduce lifestyle attributes that have not been done in Australia and that enable downsizers to maximise their lifestyle potential with community facilities that are without peer. “In line with the growing trend towards active and healthy lifestyles we have reached out for Michelle’s expert advice with the aim to deliver a facility which makes residents want to take time out of their day to exercise.” The 280 sq m health club will take prime position overlooking the pool and landscaped gardens and feature a child friendly space for parents on the go.
