Country music festival Groundwater will return to the Gold Coast this October with more incredible artists added to an already impressive lineup.
Joining iconic artists like Australia’s Kasey Chambers, American Jim Lauderdale and Canada’s acclaimed Tim Hicks on the Gold Coast from 18 – 20 October will be Australian country music stalwart Adam Brand, the sensational Jess Moskaluke (CAN) and new country convert Ella Hooper performing the Linda Ronstadt Show.
Adam Brand is a stalwart of the Australian country music scene, renowned for his electrifying live performances. With a career spanning two decades, 12 Golden Guitars and six ARIA Awards to his name Adam has established himself as one of Australia’s most influential figures in country music. “There’s nothing like Groundwater! It’s something pretty unique to be blasting out country music in the middle of the holiday strip right on the beach…oh and did I mention it’s totally free?! Does it get any better?” Adam Brand said.
Multi-awarded rising Canadian music sensation, Jess Moskaluke, is set to dazzle country fans with her magnetic presence and powerhouse vocals that have her making waves across the industry. With her infectious energy and a string of chart-topping hits like Cheap Wine and Cigarettes and Kiss Me Quiet, Jess brings a modern twist to traditional country with a unique blend of heartfelt lyrics.
The Linda Ronstadt Show featuring Ella Hooper will be an unmissable moment of this year’s festival. Fans will experience the essence of Ronstadt’s diverse musical journey, from her groundbreaking country hits to her beloved rock and pop anthems. “I’m so ready to bring our Linda show to Groundwater! We know it’s a festival for real music lovers, people who aren’t afraid to have a good time and kick up some dust and that’s just perfect for the way we pay tribute to such a queen – of country, rock, pop and more.. the one and only Linda Ronstadt! We’ll turn up the twang on all her hits and lean into those sweet 70’s, 80’s vibes together! Can’t wait,” Ella Hooper said.
“This lineup showcases a perfectly balanced mix of established stars and rising talents all playing their own brand of country, from Country Rock to honky tonk and everything in between Groundwater will blast unique sounds and energy across the festival precinct and onto the beach,” Festival Director Mark Duckworth said.
While Groundwater CMF is undoubtedly all about the music, in 2024 there will be ample time for country fans to bring their beachside line dancing skills to the fore. The Late Night Country DJs will keep the vibe going all through the night for visitors making the annual pilgrimage to the much-loved festival.
Join in for an unforgettable three days of free live music, dancing, and family-friendly fun under the sun. Don’t miss out on this incredible lineup and the chance to experience the magic of country music at its finest!
