Greek restaurant and bar Hellenika is opening its doors in Brisbane soon. With its locally sourced Greek cuisine and chic Mediterranean styled interior, Hellenika took the Gold Coast by storm with its first store in 2010 and it is likely to do the same here in Brisbane.

Hellenika is set to open its Brisbane store inside the new Fortitude Valley complex The Calile and will bring its rooftop bar and Mediterranean style dining to the luxe pool deck. It will occupy 600 square metres of the pool deck, bringing alfresco dining space, a leafy patio and a Cabana. All of Hellenika’s famous greek dishes will be brought to their Brisbane store including: Saganaki, dolmades, wood fired pork belly, grilled prawns, meatballs, house made baklava, and much more, each enhanced with a hand picked wine and spirits menu.

Owner Simon Gloftis has intended to bring Hellenika to Brisbane for a while. “This has been the intention all along, to bring Hellenika up to Brisbane… I have been waiting for the perfect location to come along where we could continue our commitment to fresh produce and a high end offering,” he said. Hellenika will open its doors in September 2018. The Calile will be a subtropical themed ‘oasis’ at the fringe of Brisbane City. Designed to provide guests with an oasis resort feel, The Calile embraces open space and Brisbane’s tropical sky.

TFE Hotels CEO Rachel Argaman believes that The Calile will become one of Brisbane’s most iconic hotels. “This will be a sophisticated and fun resort experience in an urban location, where people will meet for drinks with friends, to shop or for a fun night out, taking advantage of that glorious sub-tropical outdoor lifestyle that Brisbane has to offer.”
