Hello Gorgeous will open on Chester Street this month with an irresistible menu, handpicked wine list, stunning decor and sprawling deck ready to attract after work drinks and weekend shenanigans. Owned by Justinn De Beer, Hello Gorgeous is Newstead’s newest multi-level bar fit for after-work drinks, lively evenings and lazy afternoons. Cool but sophisticated, De Beer says Hello Gorgeous is “for everyone to just relax, enjoy great food and wine, and have fun”.

Out the front sits a sun-soaked deck featuring tropical plants and bar tables, providing an idyllic space to sip a spritz before embarking indoors. Guests can expect more than gorgeous from the interior with Bea Berry Designs creating an ambiance of ‘luxe sophistication’, while also providing plenty of teal banquettes. Curved arches, a bar clad in pastel pink tiling and striking gold accents make for a stylish but welcoming addition to the bustling suburb.

Head Chef Matthew Wrench is delivering the menu, bringing his experience from Eleven Rooftop Bar and Macleay Island to the streets of Newstead. Diners can expect bold flavours accentuated with premium ingredients across menu sections including raw, from the garden, fish and crustacean, meat, share boards, and sweets. Highlights include salads such as pan-seared cuttlefish with pomegranate, cherry tomato, watercress and a chilli and lime emulsion. More substantial options for lunching ladies include Milly Hill lamb cutlets with harissa, Hasselback potato, pumpkin purée, caramelised shallot, mint oil and jus, and roasted bone marrow with sourdough crisps.

Hello Gorgeous has more than 40 drops on offer, as well as sparkling and Champagne, cocktails will rotate seasonally. With the addition of a DJ every weekend, Hello Gorgeous is a great spot for mid-week munching, as well as letting loose on the weekend.
