Former tennis world champion Martina Hingis has been named the new Grand Resort Bad Ragaz ambassador. Ms Hingis began frequenting the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz in Switzerland during her time playing competitive tennis. She trained with her mother Melanie Molitor at the Bad Ragaz Tennis Centre during her youth.

During her illustrious career, the “ever-smiling Swiss Miss” found time in between winning her 25 Grand Slam titles to frequently return to the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz. She feels at ease in her new role as the new Leading European Wellbeing and Medical Health Resort ambassador.

“I can always find my inner balance here straight away. It’s because the professional yet welcoming team makes me feel truly at home every time I visit,” she said. Together with her partner, sports physician Harry Leemann, she is shifting her focus towards sports, health and medicine, assisted by the expertise at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz.

Grand Resort Bad Ragaz CEO Patrick Vogler feels Hingis is the perfect fit for the brand. “[Her] down-to-earth, authentic personality, endurance and vision is greatly admired,” he said. The Heidiland spa resort was awarded the Wellness Destination quality seal by Switzerland Tourism.

Located in Eastern Switzerland, the resort provides guests with an extraordinary and authentic  experience in the Thermal Spa. It also offers evidence based medical treatments at the internationally renowned Medical Health Centre and at the Swiss Olympic Medical Centre. The outpatient medical facilities were expanded to include an inpatient rehabilitation clinic in 2014. The 17 luxurious clinic rooms and outstanding range of services create the ideal conditions for a speedy recovery.
