The Sunshine Coast International Fashion Festival (SCFF) returns in October 2019 to celebrate 12 years of emerging and established talent through innovative and creative entrepreneurship. Having developed from a heavy focus on local fashion labels with one high profile guest, SCFF now showcases more interstate and international labels than ever before

The venue at The Sebel, Pelican Waters, provides a luxury platform to align with one of the most prestigious events in the Australian Fashion Calendar. Showcasing swim, resort, ready to wear, ethical, intimates, wearable art and couture summer fashion ranges, this diverse and creative collection highlights the very best of Australian fashion design.

This year, SCFF is proud to host Native Swimwear Australia for its 12th annual event. Native Swimwear Australia is a 100 per cent Aboriginal owned and operated company, specialising in luxurious, sustainable and fair trade swimwear. Native Swimwear Australia also historically became the first Aboriginal fashion label to showcase at New York Fashion Week.

Featuring in the Swim/Resort Show, audiences will enjoy a spectacle of luxurious garments from Native made using the highest quality sustainable fabrics, including, regenerated lycra, fish nets, recycled plastic bottles, as well as 100 percent eco-friendly resort wear silk. Native Swimwear Australia is also proudly inspired by their Aboriginal culture, including Authentic Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander prints in their garments, to share and highlight the Artist’s dreamtime stories with the world, through fashion.

All their prints are original and exclusive, embracing Fair Trade principles with monies from all garments going back to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artist. With inspiration from their Aboriginal culture to personal experiences with the female body changing through motherhood, Native Swimwear Australia highlights original, beautiful and sustainable garments that cater for all women to feel comfortable and confident.
