The Big Breakfast’s inaugural No BS Grand Final Lunch hosted more than 200 people at the Regatta Hotel’s Boatshed Restaurant on Tuesday 25 September. The event was hosted by Marto, Robin and The Moonman, interviewing three of Queensland’s sporting heroes – Broncos and Maroons player and Hall Of Famer Kevin Walters, three-time Premiership Champion Gorden Tallis and Trevor “The Axe” Gillmeister. They were joined on-stage by The Big Breakfast co-host Lawrence Mooney and Rich Uncle Mal. All phones were confiscated for this inaugural event, and waivers signed by all guests vowing not to tell a word about what happened, with Australian rock band The Screaming Jets playing afterwards.
