The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) hosted its opening of exhibition Abstraction and Salon de Fleurus at the QUT Art Museum on Saturday 16 June. A floor talk with curator Elspeth Pitt preceded the opening of the exhibition, examining and celebrating the myriad of ways that Australian women have championed abstraction, including the important of Indigenous female artists in the development of the field.
