The Queensland Figurative and The Young Artist Award is being held at theRoyal Queensland Art Society’s Petrie Terrace Gallery from September 8 until October 4. The Queensland Figurative will be featured in the main Petrie Terrace Gallery and the Young Artist Award will be held in the Studio Gallery upstairs.

The fabulous designs of Sacha Drake will be on show in the Sacha Drake Fashion parade on September 23 at Petrie Terrace Gallery. Due to COVID-19, it will be essential to purchase tickets for this event.

The final event in the Biennial 2020 will be the closing event on September 27 at 2pm in Petrie Terrace Gallery featuring a panel discussing the topic, What did Fine Art Mean in the 19th Century and What Does it Mean in the 21st Century. The discussion will be facilitated by Dr Kay Kane and a selection of panellists . The Art Raffle winner and the People’s Choice will be announced at this closing event. Again it will be necessary to register on Eventbrite to attend this event – details to be provided in the near future.

RQAS asks people not to attend if they are awaiting test results for COVID-19 or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19. For those who purchase tickets and find themselves in this situation, tickets will be refunded as long as an email is sent to the Petrie Terrace Gallery prior to the event.
