Sanctuary Cove‘s newest event will bring quality food, wine, beer and music to the Gold Coast for a weekend of luxury dining and premium experiences. Sunsets by Sanctuary Cove, to be held from 27 to 28 July, will showcase a range of local, national and international food, wine, beer and cider at the Gold Coast’s ultimate lifestyle destination.

Chefs, leading winemakers, renowned craft beer brewers and gourmet food trucks will combine with The Marine Village’s restaurants to serve up a dining experience for an expected 6000-plus visitors who appreciate the finer tastes in life. Wine connoisseurs will be able to wander the streets of the picturesque precinct tasting the best drops from 40 renowned wineries, while their beer and cider-loving friends will have the choice of sampling 15 of Australia’s breweries and cideries. A live entertainment lineup of solo artists and big bands will add to the festival buzz, while the popular Winemaker’s Dinner will also return to the five-star InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort on Friday 26 July, with the masters behind some of Australia’s most celebrated wine regions to present their finest offerings at a six-course degustation matched to six wines.

Mulpha Events General Manager Johan Hasser said The Marine Village’s waterfront location was the ideal location for a celebration of good food and beverages. “People have never been more interested in quality food and drinks, with the enormous growth of the craft beer and cider industries in South-East Queensland evidence of their thirst for the wide array of premium products we will have on offer.”

Negociants Australia, an importer of the world’s finest wines since 1984, is among the exhibitors that have jumped at the chance to showcase their wares at the inaugural Sunsets by Sanctuary Cove. “Sunsets by Sanctuary Cove will allow visitors to taste wines from brands, regions and winemakers they may not normally be exposed to and get to do so amid the magnificent setting that is The Marine Village.”

Hasser said Sunsets by Sanctuary Cove would deliver a taste and sensory overload for visitors, including feature demonstrations and special lunches from celebrity chefs. “From the tastes on offer to the sights and sounds that will accompany them, this will be a unique experience for our ticket holders,” he said. “Whether they want to dine at one of The Marine Village’s many award-winning restaurants, do a spot of shopping in our quality retail outlets or simply relax with an ice cold brew while watching the sun set over Sanctuary Cove, the choices will be infinite at this tremendous event.”
