Originating in Byron Bay, Stone and Wood has announced that it will be opening its new brewery in Fortitude Valley this Spring. Now approved by the Brisbane City Council, the new brewery will be housed in a heritage-listed building.

Decorated with a distinctly Stone and Wood interior, the heritage-listed building will be designed to match its Byron Bay brewery. The brewery will be open until 10 pm to cater to Fortitude Valley’s urban pace but it aims to be a place for people to slow down and connect. Along with its main brewery experience, there will also be a merchandise outlet, space for community events and training workshops for its trade partners

The brewery was originally set to open earlier but due to working with a heritage-listed building it was delayed. This was so that the building’s owner could undertake the rectification work needed to install a working brewery. Stone and Wodd has focused on the integrity and heritage elements of the building to capture its original beauty. To prepare the building, work is currently underway and will continue across the coming months.
