Brisbane’s newest bar and bistro The Whistle Dixie opened with a bang on the corner of Brookes and Ann Street in Fortitude Valley on Wednesday 18 July. The night was hosted by Co-Owners Irishmen Gerry Moley and Mick McLoughlin. Boasting seating for 110, Chef Joel Lewty and Venue Manager Ben McLoughlin were in their elements, as the indoor-outdoor laneway was bustling with excited guests including Triple M’s Ben Dobbin, Broncos Coach Wayne Bennett with players Josh McGuire, Matt Gillette and Corey Oates, former Brisbane Lions star Jamie Charman and NRL Hall of Fame recipient Gordan Tallis.
