Luxury British bathing brand Victoria + Albert Baths is giving Australian homeowners and designers a timeless aesthetic for bathrooms with the launch of its new Candella and Metallo Washstand collection. Designed by Italian duo, Meneghello Paolelli Associati, the pair have seamlessly combined modern and traditional aesthetics in their pieces to fit within either classic or contemporary Australian homes.

The Candella Washstands fuse modern style and functionality. Defined by their gently curved legs, the washstands are made of a brass construction with a Polished Chrome finish. A towel bar and toughened glass storage shelf keep toiletries at hand. Choose between two sizes; the Candella 114, which is topped with a sleek Mandello 114 Solo basin, and the Candella 100, topped with a Victorian-inspired Lario 100 Solo basin.

For those looking for a minimalist-inspired look, the Metallo Washstands are characterised by their sleek legs with traditional tee joints – a look that would suit a period bathroom or industrial-inspired scheme. Also featuring a towel bar, a towel rack provides ample storage for towels and toiletries. The Metallo 114 is topped with a sleek Mandello 114 Solo basin, whilst the Metallo 100 is topped with a Victorian-inspired Lario 100 Solo basin.

Victoria + Albert’s Marketing Director Jonathan Carter said that the new washstands can bring a new level of luxury to the bathroom. “This new range of open frame washstands allow homeowners to create that luxury look commonly seen in boutique hotel bathrooms. The combination of modern and traditional features makes the washstands the perfect option for bathrooms of any style,” Jonathan said.
