Beechmont Estate has announced a new collaboration with Moët & Chandon to celebrate World Champagne Day 2024. For the first time, the partners are hosting a decadent Champagne lunch on Saturday, 26 October, at Beechmont Estate in the Scenic Rim.
The springtime soiree is a must-do for wine and fine food lovers. It promises an exquisite five-course menu paired with the seven prestige Champagnes from Moët & Chandon. The lunch will be held within Beechmont Estates’ two chef-hatted restaurant, The Paddock, which provides a stunning hinterland backdrop of distant peaks, valley vistas, and country gardens.
Beechmont Estate is honoured to have Moët & Chandon’s Ambassador for Australia and New Zealand, Dean O’Reilly, host the lunch event. O’Reilly has curated the Champagne selection, which includes the world’s most loved Champagne, Imperial Brut, as well as Grand Vintage Rosé, Nectar Impérial Rosé, and more. O’Reilly will share his knowledge of Champagne, the French region’s unique landscape, diverse wine styles, and the rich and storied history of the prestigious brand.
Beechmont Estates’ Executive Chef team, Chris Norman and Alex Norman, have crafted the five course menu, with each course designed to match the unique flavour profile of each Champagne. Highlights from the bespoke menu include Shark Bay scallops with finger lime, lemongrass, cucumber and scampi caviar.
Chris explains: “Guests can expect delicate flavours and premium ingredients to suit Dean’s choices of Champagne. For example, the dessert course of house-made puff pastry with Tommerups dairy farm cream, garden verbena, and local berries will pair perfectly with the smooth and lively palate of the Moët & Chandon Nectar Imperial.”
Alex added, “As always at the Paddock, we will be showcasing the best producers in the region and the season’s harvest. We look forward to taking guests on a journey through each of the courses.”
