A packed program of traditional Irish song and dance will begin at 11am and will continue throughout the day. The acts include The City of Brisbane Pipe Band, Ukulele Dead Squad, Tartan Shamrock, U2AB and Shanon Watkins Band, along with performances with traditional Irish dancers.
In addition, the event will star renowned Irish stand-up comedian, Jimeoin.
The event promises good food and entertainment, including Brisbane food trucks Mac From Way Back and IndieMex, as well as Irish-inspired options such as the Diddly Dee Food Truck.
Iconic Irish beverages will be available for purchase, such as Guinness, Bailey’s Irish Cream and Magner’s Irish Cider, along with the festival’s signature cocktail Shamrock Juice.
A number of competitions will be held over the day, including a three minute wing eating competition and best dressed contests.
Paddyfest will have a designated Kids Zone, featuring free rides, craft and face painting for children to enjoy.
Pre-purchased ticket holders can also travel for free by bus and train to and from the event.
