With its high variety of foods all locally sourced, Alcove Cafe & Deli has quickly become a North Brisbane local favourite. Situated in Wilston, the cafe and deli has brought together a menu featuring local flavours from across South East Queensland.
Sourcing their ingredients from local farms around the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, Alcove has a wide array of fresh and ripe produce. Stocking local dips, olives, sauces, pasta, cheese, terrine, falafel and chutney all utilised in their dishes, Alcove has a large variety of gourmet options. Alcove serves up breakfast, light meals, gourmet sandwiches and of course, coffee.
There are many seasonal dishes too, particularly warm meals for Winter and a weekly breakfast special featuring slow cooked Italian sausage with a rich tomato sauce. Alcove also offers boutique fruits and vegetables, breads, fresh flowers, and craft alcohol daily.
Other menu offerings include: house made banana bread, Italian eggs, Kasundi wrap, blueberry and pear pancakes and an avocado smash for breakfast. Lunch offerings include: oriental chicken wrap, BBQ pulled pork wraps, a handmade herbed lamb pattie with grilled haloumi, a quinoa burger and gourmet sandwiches.
Alcove Cafe & Deli was founded in 2012 by Sep and Fergus. Sep’s previous business was a small cafe and florist, while Fergus was in digital marketing. Together they decided to form a cafe that focused on fresh, local produce, with delicious food and coffee.
