One of Australia’s favourite television show, the Block, has featured many beautiful art pieces throughout its 15 seasons. This year however, many of the art works were from talented Gold Coast and Brisbane artists. Art Lovers Australia, based on the Gold Coast, worked throughout the season with contestants to source original art by talented emerging Artists, including hyper realist Jeska Valk and photographer Kellie North.

Art Lovers Australia is The Block’s 2019 key supplier of artwork. Each week the contestants choose artwork from the Art Lovers Australia online gallery to enhance and complement their renovations. Art Lovers Australia is based on the founders shared love of art and a genuine desire to see artists thrive. The company has quickly grown to one of Australia’s largest online galleries with more than 10,000 curated pieces of art from almost 500 quality artists.

The usage of the art throughout the block has been excellent for exposure and also instilling confidence in the artists. Judges’ comments like “The ART is amazing” “Love, love, love” and “this couple really know how to do ART!” have been great affirmation for the artists.

In honour of this exposure, Art Lovers Australia has organised an exhibition that features all of the artists that hit the screen on The Block. The exhibition series is titled the “Reveal” and will allow you to see the art up close and personal, and learn the stories behind the art and also of the artists.

The exhibition will be officially opened by Carlene Duffy who is an ex-block contestant, designer extraordinaire of Cedar & Suede and co-host of TV show “Ready, Set, RENO…”. Opening on the 2nd of November at four to seven pm at the TBC Gallery, 91 West Bureigh Rd, Burleigh Heads 4220.
