Luxury British car maker Aston Martin has opened a bold new chapter in its illustrious 106-year history with the unveiling of the brand’s first SUV model, DBX.

The SUV, which is four years in the making, brings the dynamic sports car level performance drivers already know Aston Martin delivers, with the style, versatility and indulgence of an SUV. Aston Martin president and CEO Andy Palmer said the new SUV will be a game-changer for the luxury touring car company. “I can’t emphasise enough how incredibly exciting and significant DBX is for Aston Martin. Through its development alone, this beautiful SUV has already taken the company into new territories and in inspiring directions,” Dr Palmer said.

“We have both delivered this model through our expertise, but also by garnering invaluable experience and knowledge from external counsel,” he said. “This is a real landmark for this great British brand and I promise that DBX will reward all who experience it in their everyday lives.” Dr Palmer said “DBX is a car that will give many people their first experience of Aston martin ownership, as such it needed to be true to the core values established in our sports cars.”

With its enormous 632 litres of boot space, DBX possesses all the flexible capacity the market has come to expect from SUVs.  The narrow load sill and broad aperture maximise space for luggage, golf bags and even ski equipment for the stylish drive into the Victorian Alps. The base model offers all available active safety systems, with tailored options for special use cases like the Pet package, which includes a portable washer to help wash a muddy dog after a forest walk, and the Snow package offers boot warmers for a touch of luxury on ski trips.Deliveries are set to begin in 2020.
