James Anthony Construction, established by Brisbane brothers Jamie and John Christophersen, have received four industry awards across Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast at the 2019 Housing Institute of Australia (HIA) Awards.

The awards identify, highlight and reward excellence throughout the Queensland housing industry, representing the finest tradespeople and their innovative techniques in building. Partnering with highly regarded architects has been key to the success of their projects.

Founding partner and lead carpenter, Jamie Christophersen, says, “Collaborating with architects creates opportunities for bespoke detailing that you wouldn’t normally come across on most projects. It challenges the team to think and work differently as carpenters, and that’s what keeps us motivated to do what we do. We’re focussed on high level craftsmanship and I believe that’s what provides our clients with the superior quality they expect from an architecturally designed home.”

“We’re really driven by working closely with our clients to build their dream home. It’s an exciting time in their lives and being a part of bringing that dream to reality is very fulfilling for us. These awards come off the back of some exceptional projects – from luxury renovations to high end, new homes throughout Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast hinterland, and we’re very proud of what our team has achieved,” he explains.

Awarded projects include:
– Lace House, New Farm – HIA Queensland Renovation of the Year
– Lace House, New Farm – HIA Brisbane Housing Award, Renovation over $1m
– Mary Valley House – HIA Sunshine Coast Housing Award, Custom Built Home $1-2m
– Terrace House – HIA Brisbane Housing Award, Renovation $600k – $1m
