Multi-award-winning international cabaret star Ursula Martinez will be joining the cast of Cheeky Cabaret on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 November at Brunswick Picture House located in Brunswick Heads.

Ursula is a founding member of the circus/cabaret/variety show and international sensation, La Soire?e (formerly La Clique), which was created by Creative Producer and Brunswick Picture House co-owner Brett Haylock. The show, developed in 2004 for Edinburgh Fringe Festival, has since evolved into an international phenomenon, seen by more than eight million people, smashing box office records across Europe, the US and Australia, and trailing a host of awards in its wake. “We’re thrilled to have the incomparable Ursula Martinez making her first visit to the Brunswick Picture House for the November Cheeky Cabaret performances,” said Brett. “Opening the Picture House has allowed us the invaluable opportunity to bring dear friends, long-term colleagues and world-class performers like Ursula to our little piece of paradise right here in Bruns. Ursula is wickedly funny and will tear up our stage right here at the Picture House – her infamous red hanky striptease act is known and loved by people around the world and has been one of the signature acts in La Soire?e. We can’t wait for our audiences to see Ursula and the rest of the outrageous Cheeky Cabaret line-up for another night to remember.”

The Picture House is hosting an original program of events this summer festive season, including a line-up of international and Australian headline comedy acts, as well as family-friendly and adult shows. Kicking summer off with  an evening of song for all denominations – The Pub Choir meets Christmas Carols on 24 December combining five choirs with terrific food and drink. The always delightful Pitt Family Circus returns, the internationally acclaimed Djuki Mala hits the stage for two shows only and Iconic – a drag show like none other.

World-renowned show producers Brett Haylock and Chris Chen apply the same dedication and devotion to The Picture House program as they do to delivering international hits La Soiree and Club Swizzle.
