Coorparoo Square retailers will be showcasing Christmas Around the World on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 July for its inaugural Christmas in July Laneway Party.
Offering food and drink promotions such as mulled wine, speciality Christmas chicken, Turkish hot chocolates, Christmas cakes and food tasting, the multicultural food retailers will showcase what Christmas means to their country of origin and the locals will have the opportunity to taste test the Christmas special menu offerings from all over the globe with discounted items.
The first 100 visitors to the precinct from 3pm will enjoy complimentary mulled wine which can be claimed at Beyond the Pale Bar while those with a sweet tooth can enjoy a discount for all cake slices at La Mimosa or Churros a with Dulce de Leche at Barbacoa. Beyond the Pale owner Aidan McGarrity said their mulled wine recipe was sure to get guests into the Christmas spirit. “We look forward to seeing the precinct come to life for the Christmas in July celebrations in the true community spirit of Coorparoo Square,” said Aidan.
Alongside the food retailers’ marvellous menu offerings, Brisbane musician Tim Sladdin will be providing additional entertainment on Saturday. Dendy Cinema will also premiere a special screening of Christmas family favourite Scrooged featuring Bill Murray on Sunday. Everyone is welcome to join and wear their favourite Christmas outfit to the celebration, with the chance to win six months of free dining at Coorparoo Square.
