After months of speculation and intrigue, the new show from creators of acclaimed Blanc de Blanc and Madonna’s Rebel Heart, Strut & Fret, Deluxe Deluxe has been unveiled at a preview screening at the Gold Coast’s Home of the Arts (HOTA) on Wednesday 4 July.

HOTA hosted the world premier of the show with the first of a series of preview performances arriving at the theatre in early July. Founding Director of Strut & Fret Scott Maidment said that their new show was created with Gold Coast residents in mind. “We have created a show specifically for the Gold Coast. Following the amazing success of two sell-out seasons of Blanc de Blanc, we know that the city has an appetite for well crafted, professional productions,” said Scott.

The international cast has been kept a closely guarded secrets until yesterday’s media call when the shows talent was revealed. Performers include Strut & Fret regular Antonio Vargas Montiel from Spain, Austrian aerial artist Penelope Elena and renowned American juggler Scot Nery. Scot Maidment has said that “some of the cast have never even been to Australia before, so audiences are certain to see some unique talent. Our cast is certain to enthral and entertain the audience.”

Australian performers are not lacking from the shows ensemble either. Australia’s very own Hilton Dennis and Olivia Porter will also be performing. Tap and dance superstar Hilton Denis has performed worldwide including in concerts with Janet Jackson, Salt-N-Pepa, David Guetta, Timomatic, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, and many more.  Olivia Porter is a unique and quirky juggler who has been described as one of kind and has performed in the Circus OZ production of But Wait…There’s More, which toured internationally. Olivia is also a regular at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and has also been teaching at Vulcana Women’s Circus and Circa.
