Settling in to new home Westfield Garden City, Surry Hills cafe Devon has released its new truffle menu to celebrate the cooler months.
The limited-edition truffle menu will include returning favourites the ultimate toastie, truffle egg sando, and the truffle sundae. This year Executive Chef Zacharay Tan introduces a number of new dishes across all venues including truffle hotcakes with whipped cream cheese, maple, and fresh truffle, puffed salmon skin with aburi avocado, konbu and fresh truffle, or the tres leche lost bread with hazelnut chantilly, meringue, warm truffle custard, and fresh truffle.
Devon Garden City will feature the Devon x La Boqueria truffle eggs with potato pave, asparagus, pancetta, truffle hollandaise, poached eggs, and La Hoguera Duroc Jamon Serrrano. Snack on some curly fries topped with a salted egg yolk, parmesan, and fresh truffle and if you want to overload your morning coffee, try the dulce de leche latter topped with truffle. The limited-edition menu runs from June until the end of August.
The Garden City venue is licensed so stay after your truffles for a boozy brunch, Aperitivo hour or dinner. The delicious restaurant has beer on tap, an international wine list, and classic cocktails. The welcoming 80-seater venue is perfect for a quick lunch catch-up whilst shopping or a long dinner with friends or family. The interiors feature bleached timber and concrete with blue finishes to complement the water feature. There is a mixture of larger communal tables, round tables with stools and banquette seating.
