Pop the cork and charge your glass – the Effervescence Champagne Festival is back for its third year this Father’s Day weekend in September. Conceived by champagne educator Amanda Reboul in 2016, Effervescence celebrates Champagne the region, and champagne the wine, with an indulgent day of food, wine and music in the glorious countryside outside Grandchester, an hour west of Brisbane.
Effervescence invites guests to extend the festival experience by spending an entire weekend immersed in champagne with an intimate VIP stay at the tranquil Spicers Hidden Vale has the perfect setting for a wonderful weekend of champagne and fabulous food. This indulgent VIP getaway will be shared with like-minded champagne aficionados and includes a welcome cocktail party, champagne breakfasts, masterclasses, team petanque challenges, long lunches and champagne matched truffle dinners, plus three nights accommodation at Spicers as well as all the Effervescence Festival Sunday celebrations including the champagne trail and cooking demonstrations.
“It was a wonderful weekend and a champagne lover’s dream,” said Damien Anthony Rossi, last year’s Effervescence ambassador and presenter on Channel 7’s The Great Day Out. “Those who joined us for the VIP weekend were truly indulged, from the minute the first flute of Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque was poured at the welcome cocktail party to the lavish long lunches on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.”
For those who would just like a taste of what Effervescence is all about, the Sunday champagne trail offers the chance to taste close to 70 different champagnes from more than 25 houses, from both boutique grower and major houses.
Tickets to both the VIP weekend and Effervescence Festival are strictly limited and are expected to sell out, so secure your tickets now. The event runs from August 31 to September 2.
