Australian icon Ernie Dingo had outdoor adventurers hooked when he took to the stage at the National 4×4 Outdoors Show, Fishing and Boating Expo at the Brisbane Showgrounds from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 March. Some of the biggest celebrities in the industry attended the three day event to offer advice, with household name Ernie the major drawcard. He gave his unique take on the off road industry when he stared on the Outback Stage.

Ernie was joined by other television personalities including Peter “Spida” Everitt from The Great Australian Doorstep, Jase Andrews from All 4 Adventure and Paul Burt from Network Seven. More than 25,000 people tackled the expo, which also featured more than 200 exhibitors selling the latest in 4WDs, camper trailers, tents, barbecues, fishing tackle and more.

This year saw the return of the Boating Industry Association, staged in the John Reid Pavilion. Brisbane Showgrounds General Manager of Venue Sales and Marketing Jago Coyle said the expo had been held at the Showgrounds since it first began more than two decades ago.

“We’re proud to have such a long-running association with the National 4×4 Outdoors Show, Fishing and Boating Expo which is always popular with enthusiasts,” he said.
