The best spirits across Australia and New Zealand have been tasted and judged at the inaugural 2019 Royal Australian Spirit Awards, with Noosa Heads Distillery Fortune winning three medals for its signature Dry Gin, Peter Phillips Navy Strength Gin and the soon to be released White Cane un-aged Agricole Rum.

Since opening in March of 2019, Noosa’s first Distillery has quickly begun building a name for itself within the craft distillation industry and are celebrating its first major wins – a collection of award winning fine spirits made with local ingredients. “We’re really excited to have won 3 medals for our spirits within the first few months of opening, the public’s reaction has been really positive but it’s also great to have industry recognition. Results like these and the quality of our products are a clear sign that we’re heading in the right direction, so we’re very excited for what the future holds!” said Jackson Boyd, Head Distiller.

Entering their first round of awards gives  Fortune Noosa Heads Distillery the opportunity to benchmark their spirits against set criteria; receiving invaluable independent feedback from industry experts; whilst comparing their progress to other local Distilleries. Considering that Fortune has been open for just five months, the team is very happy and cannot wait to improve on the results for next year.
