Brisbane-based hairdresser Carole Haddad from Corcoz Hair has been selected as a finalist in the Cut & Colour category at the International Visionary Award 2018 as part of the 36th Anniversary Alternative Hair Show Mystique.
Carole will represent Australia in the world stage along with fellow Australian hairdresser Ah Kim Anthony Tan where they will compete against a talented pool of hairdressers from Russia, Canada, Taiwan, Ireland to Switzerland. The finals of the International Visionary Award 2018 will take place on the 14th October 2018 at the Freemasons Hall in London during the 36th Anniversary Alternative Hair Show Mystique. Due to her innovations in the hairdressing industry, Carole has been able to win the Queensland Hairdresser of the Year and work with clients such as Australian fashion designers Alex Perry and Camilla Franks.
The show not only highlights the talents in the international hairdressing scene, but the show is also committed to funding charities in the advancement of research in the treatment and welfare of people suffering leukaemia as well as related cancers of the blood. Not only is it fitting to have Carole been selected as a finalist for her hard work and dedication to the industry but Carole has also fought back in her life as a cancer survivor. Despite living with such circumstance, it proved to be a turning point in her developing her passion and her hunger to succeed in the industry. Now cancer free, Carole not only deserves to be selected but is truly an outstanding role model.
