A two year vision has officially become a reality as new restaurant venture Lily opens its doors in Eight Mile Plains as the latest offering from the owners behind the Osbourne Hotel and The Glen Hotel.

As the third generation in a family of successful hospitality owners, Brian and Cathy Fitzgibbons have paid homage to their ancestry, attributing the new restaurant to Brian’s grandmother, Lily, who ran the Dining Room at The Daniell Hotel on Adelaide Street in the mid 19oos. “Lily is a unique venue, serving top quality culinary and cocktail options that patrons are used to receiving exclusively from an inner city restaurant,” said Brian. “Being located between Brisbane’s CBD and the northern Gold Coast, we wanted to provide a dining experience for locals that was both easy to access and special, providing an escape from the everyday.”

Lily delivers a true experience for diners, awakening the senses through carefully curated design, music, and even the ingredients used. Lily’s Head Chef Brad Casey has carefully curated a seasonal culinary menu using only the highest quality Australian produce combined with elements straight from the onsite vegetable and herb garden. “We have worked to create a menu that promises to surprise, embodying an exceptional level of artistry and marriage of flavours representative of Lily itself,” Casey said.

Each dish is one to savour, with menu standouts including duck breast with asparagus mousse and barramundi with king prawn ravioli and lemon jam. A visit would not be complete without indulging in one of Lily’s revered signature cocktails; the Lily Blossom, a vodka based cocktail filled with fresh sweet berries and soothing mint, or the Gypsy Queen, a gin cocktail infused with jasmine tea, elderflower and lime.

Lily allows restaurant patrons to escape the ordinary, combining excellent food and service with privacy and intimacy for everything from a midweek meal to larger scale celebrations.
