Resort wear label Local Luxe Swim will take residence at The Calile Hotel between October 15 and  31 to debut its lounge collection, Golden Hour.

Founded in 2017, Local Luxe Swim is a consciously crafted label made on the Gold Coast that has quickly garnered a following across the southern beaches. Hosting a rotating curated selection of independent and emerging local and national fashion and lifestyle labels, The Calile Hotel’s resident pop-up space is on the ground level of the hotel.

Local Luxe Swim designer Teddy Bendeich works with local manufacturers, pattern makers and seamstresses to bring exclusive swim and lounge pieces to life. Sustainable by design, all material is sourced from local fabric suppliers and wholesalers. With a focus on optimal fabric layouts in production runs, Local Luxe Swim creates limited run collections to minimise wastage. Golden Hour launches with 100 per cent Australian sourced cotton in earthy tones and neutral hues.

Local Luxe Swim owner Teddy Bendeich says, “It is so exciting to be providing women with the opportunity to come in store to look, touch and feel the amazing quality and fit of all Local Luxe Swim pieces. Local Luxe Swim was created by women for women, and our range has been designed to suit an array of different ages, shapes and sizes.”

From her base in Mermaid Beach, Bendeich says she designed a collection to be worn beachside to poolside, through to sunset cocktails across a long balmy night. Tailored in all the right places, Golden Hour follows a relaxed fit, negotiating the edge between carefree naivety and sensual form. Softly feminine, with colours speaking to a season of transitions, the collection is finished with luxurious button detailing.
