Brisbane local Grace Simmons has skyrocketed to international fashion fame, with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane unveiling the redhead as the face of this year’s festival.

Mercedes- Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane Director Lindsay Bennett was thrilled to secure Grace as the featured model for the fashion week, doting on the homegrown talent. “Grace is such a talented model. She has a really unique look and everything about her says ‘high fashion’. It’s little wonder she has found such incredible success internationally. We were delighted to be able to book Grace for the hero shoot while she’s back home,” Mr Bennett said. “The whole team is thrilled with the outcome of the shoot, which really showcases what the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane is about – promoting Queensland fashion talent. We have a local model wearing a local designer, both of whom have found great recognition and success in the industry.”

Photographed at the magnificent St John’s Cathedral, a heritage building in the Brisbane CBD and a special destination for an off-site Fashion Festival runway show this year, the shot captures the fresh, unique and fashion-forward nature of Queensland and Australia’s fashion industry.

Grace wears a stunning gown by renowned Brisbane designer and couturier, George Wu, and is accompanied by the stylish Mercedes-Benz E400 Cabriolet. The image will cover all Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane branding in 2018.

Dividing her time between New York and Paris, Grace Simmons has strutted the runway for the likes of Valentino, Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs, Saint Laurent and more. The stunning redhead returned home for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia and to visit her family.

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane runs from Sunday 26 to Thursday 30 August, hosted at Old Government House. The full program and tickets are available at www.mbff.com.au.
