Secrets by BASIK have teamed up with Woolloongabba’s secret hideaway, Jack Rabbits Whiskey to host a Mother’s Day instalment of their mouthwatering chocolate degustation series.
The event will begin at 7pm on May 13 with a complimentary cocktail and delicious canapés. Guests will then be to experience a full chocolate dining experience. Chocolatier and the founder of BASIK, Krsna Rajalingam started his artisan journey in 2017 when he discovered his love of experimenting with ingredients to create the perfect dessert with no bounds. This is Krsna’s third sold out event, and he has pulled out all the stops for mothers in Brisbane. Krsna will narrate the flavour of each hand made chocolate to give guests a sensational, memorable experience.
Krsna partnered with his mother to design one of the courses, and stayed true to his tradition of featuring a native Australian ingredient. This year’s ingredient will be macadamias. Krsna has teamed up with Jack Rabbits Whiskey Bar’s mixologists to create the perfect alcohol pairing to match the gourmet chocolates, ensuring each bite offers a unique flavour to the palate.
“I have been lucky enough to be able to work with the Jack Rabbits team, covering all sorts of alcoholic pairings, from wines to whiskeys, rums, liqueurs and even Sambuca. They have been amazing and outstanding in accommodating my vision for Secrets by BASIK. Every event the pairings have been so unique and different that even for me I have a sense of excitement when going through the pairings on the night,” says Krsna.
