Next Door Espresso are set to deliver a unique blend of Moonshine coffee and a beachside vibe to the Burleigh area in September. Owners Kim Piper and Simon Thompson have teamed up with St Barts and FINEPRINT Co to create a beachside beauty. Filled with great food and coffee, the business also offers one of a kind artefacts, homewares, fashion, furniture, and interior design goods. The collaborative space brings to life a homestyle environment with elements of the duos worldly travels.
Coming from Queensland country upbringings, Piper and Thompson saw an opportunity for a fusion of great coffee and old-school country service. After travelling though America and Italy tasting the diverse flavours of coffee, the pair decided to pour all they had into the business. Design influences stem from simple white tones, modernist style, and country style authenticity. Anchored in a sea of Livistona palms with a porthole window feature, Next Door Espresso encompass both country and beach house styles.
Thompson says, “Next Door Espresso has evolved into a place where locals and visitors get together, gather and drink great coffee. The kind of place you wish you had next door, hence the name.” Sourcing its organic coffee from Moonshine Coffee Roasters in the Byron Bay hinterland, the pair knew the warm chocolate tones and smoothness would make anyone feel at home. With both locals and the location in mind, Next Door Espresso are dedicated to sourcing local and sustainable products. Passionate about reducing waste and minimising carbon footprint, the team are always striving to reach new sustainability goals.
