Brisbane’s Portside Wharf will be hosting markets on Saturday 8 May from 12pm to 4pm, just in time for Mother’s Day. Portside will be packed with over 35 specially curated market stalls, with live music and fantastic food available onsite.
Presented by The Market Folk and featuring a range of creatives, designers, local makers, and entrepreneurs, enjoy the day exploring Brisbane ceramics, plants, fashion, accessories, art, vintage, children’s, skincare, and more. Gather your friends, meet local artisans, and enjoy the fresh air and Autumn sunshine by the river at Portside Wharf, Hamilton. Soft tunes will be played from the Portside Piano throughout the afternoon, and you can also savour coffee, cocktails, and treats at the many cafes, restaurants, and bars on offer.
Try Pineapple Express and Bou’s For Men for a quick pick-me-up before strolling through the market stalls or Bamboo Basket, Burrito Bar, and Ginga Sushi are open for lunch. Alternatively, for a special riverside experience, book a table at @Mr & Mrs. Jones, Belvedere Bar n Grill, Byblos Bar & Restaurant, Gusto da Gianni or Sono Japanese Restaurant.
Grab a movie before or after at Dendy Cinemas and savour the experience with some of the latest film arrivals at this Northside, boutique cinema. Portside Wharf is located on the Brisbane River and is home to six completed residential buildings and more than 25 retailers including fine dining restaurants, cafes, eateries, boutique fashion, health and beauty, an IGA supermarket, and Dendy Cinema.
With Mother’s Day the day after on 9 May, guests can find the perfect gift for mum. Whether it’s handcrafted homewares, unique art, or jewellery, the markets are a one-stop shop for a unique and special gift. Grab your shopping bags and get down to Portside Markets for a great day out.
