Jamie Milne will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most strict pull ups in 24 hours on Friday 29 June at the Maroochydore Sunshine Plaza. The current record is 7620 pull ups, however Jamie is not only attempting to beat the record, but to complete a massive 8000 strict pull ups in the 24 hour time period.

The Guinness World Record attempt is in the name of charity. Jamie is currently an ambassador for the Memory Walk and Jog events in Queensland and over the years has raised $100,000 for charity. Jamie began his ultra-marathon fundraising charity Many Miles for Mary (MMFM) in remembrance of his grandmother Mary who passed away from dementia. Each year he runs ultra-marathons in various locations whilst raising money for charity, in particular, Dementia Australia. This year will be the 10th and final year of Many Miles for Mary and will entail a 1400 kilometre run the length of the UK.

Jamie Milne is the managing director of Jamie Milne Training at Warana on the Sunshine Coast. Jamie has more than 14 years experience as a strength and conditioning coach working for a number of world ranked professional athletes, Kuwait’s Royal Family, sports teams, and the members of his Sunshine Coast based training facility.

The event will take place at 2pm on Friday 29 June, with the public encouraged to cheer Jamie on during the Guiness World Record attempt.
