The Hour Glass and Rolex have announced the opening of the largest Rolex Boutique in the southern hemisphere.
The new boutique, located at 192 Pitt Street, on the corner of Market Street, occupies three floors of its heritage-listed building, overlooking the heart of Sydney’s luxury shopping precinct. The 400sqm boutique offers professional expertise in an elegant setting, one that promotes a sense of harmony, discretion, and intimacy with the brand, which has been setting standards in watchmaking for more than a century.
“My family has worked in partnership with Rolex for over 70 years and this Rolex Boutique marks an incredibly exciting milestone for The Hour Glass. Pitt Street and Market Street in Sydney are arguably among the world’s fastest developing luxury precincts and this three-story, historical building reinforces our commitment to present the best of Rolex to our community of watch enthusiasts in the city of Sydney,” said Mr Michael Tay, Group Managing Director of The Hour Glass.
The boutique introduces distinct features that capture the essence of its unique location, including a hand-crafted stucco panel that illustrates the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. A bespoke five-meter tall, hand-blown crystal glass chandelier traverses two levels of the building. The ground floor exhibition, A Watch Born to Explore, features the Explorer and Explorer II watches that evolved from Rolex’s involvement in some of the greatest adventures in exploration of the past century.
The boutique is currently open to the public, located in the heart of Sydney.
