Back for its second year running, Brisbane’s bug and oyster trail Sea to the City will be returning for another weekend of seafood. The event is an alfresco food trail that celebrates and honours fresh seafood, all while moving against the backdrop of the Brisbane River.

Held for one day only, the trail stretches along the banks of the Brisbane River, starting from the dining destination of Eagle Street Pier and finishing at Customs House. Seventeen of Brisbane’s best riverside restaurants will be taking part, with the trail map dividing up the restaurants into their locations, including Eagle Street Pier, Riparian Plaza, and the Riverside Centre. Each restaurant will pay tribute to oysters and bugs, and the menu for the event is specially curated to serve the best seafood Brisbane has on offer.

From Eagle Street Pier, trailblazers can enjoy bites from Rico Bar & Dining, George’s Paragon, Cha Cha Char Wine Bar & Grill, Il Centro Restaurant, Mr & Mrs G Riverbar, and Sake Restaurant & Bar. Riparian Plaza will showcase seafood from Madame Wu, Kingsleys Brisbane, and Riverbar & Kitchen. The Riverside Centre features restaurants such as Jellyfish Restaurant, Blackbird Bar & Grill, Navala Churrascaria, Friday’s Riverside, Pig ‘n’ Whistle Riverside, Massimo Restaurant & Bar, Riverland, and Customs House.

Guests can also expect live music, wine, and river views as well as the tasting menu. Pop-up food stalls and bars will also be lining up on Eagle Street throughout the day. The full menu for the event is available here, with each restaurant offering their take on the bug and oyster experience and serving up dishes ranging from oyster plates to squid sliders, deep fried bugs to bug mac ‘n’ cheese, as well as their own selection of drinks.
