Celebrated British chef Jamie Oliver is headed to the Gold Coast. The first Australian Jamie Oliver Pizzeria is set to open within the coming weeks at Pacific Fair, and is said to be inspired by Oliver’s many visits to Italy. The menu will feature simple and honest food made using locally sourced produce.

Encompassing 148 square metres, the restaurant space will be fun and fresh with plans for a kitchen to be designed to be as open as possible so that customers can enjoy the performance of the pizza making as much as possible. “From tossing artisan pizza dough by hand to removing freshly baked, steaming pizzas from feature ovens, our pizzerias have earned an unrivalled reputation for serving incredible, authentic hand-stretched pizzas topped with the most fantastic and delicious ingredients, not to mention tasty salads and delicious desserts,” Jamie Oliver said. “The Gold Coast is the perfect city to launch Jamie Oliver’s Pizzeria Down Under and I’ve got no doubt locals, tourists and especially families are going to absolutely love it.”

Hallmark Group is behind the launch of the pizzeria and are working with key suppliers to deliver the vision of Oliver’s restaurant. The group focuses on hospitality and operates a range of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs across Australia. Their most famous operations include The Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group in Australia, Retro’s Cocktail lounges, Finn McCool’s, and Shooters.

Petra Orrenius, Group General Manager of Restaurants at Hallmark said, “As one of the country’s most progressive hospitality groups, we share Jamie’s passion for food and love of entertaining and are looking forward to the opening of Australia’s first Jamie’s Pizzeria. We will be showcasing classic Italian flavours, encouraging our chefs to be creative and serving up meals that are made with care and delivered without fuss.”
