Grab your putter. Brisbane just scored a new outdoor mini golf course.

Let’s face it—mini golf is way more fun than regular golf. A, you need way less skill with a golf club, B, it’s acceptable to stand around heckling your mates for their inability to get a hole-in-one and C, those nine rounds are over quicker, meaning you can head to the bar faster. All of the above are the reasons we are hopping up and down at the news of St Lucia Golf Link’s brand new mini golf course. This new addition to the golf course is one for those who like the idea of golf but not the whole serious golfer thing—so basically, most of you.

The putt putt course is not without its challenges—instead of being flat, there’s a heap of slopes, hills, curves and bends, as well as tricky obstacles like mountainous rocks and ricochet walls. All to make for more entertaining play—and more opportunities to rag on your fellow golfers, right?

Plus, the whole course is fully licensed, so you can grab a drink from hundred acre bar while you play, and feast on eats before and after your game in the Garden Golf Pavilion. The newly built Garden Golf Pavilion boasts panoramic views and plenty of seating, where guests can sit and enjoy a drink and some food before or after their game. Order a funky cocktail, boutique beer or a chilled glass of wine and pair it with some of the best pizzas in town from Hundred Acre Bar. And yes, there is a dedicated kid’s menu too!

With the mini golf course open from 9am to 7pm (Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday), 9am to 8pm (Wednesday and Thursday) and 9am to 9pm (Friday and Saturday), we’d say it could be your new favourite date night activity.
