The Gold Coast’s Ristorante Fellini has been announced the winner of the Italian Restaurant category at the 2019 QLD and NT Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence.

The Awards of Excellence celebrates exceptional service and culinary talent across the state and is the only program in Australia where the judging criteria is determined by consumers. A panel of anonymous judges visit the nominated restaurants and cafes, basing their scores on the dining experience as a whole focusing on food and customer service.

Fellini’s co-owner Carlo Percuoco said, “For the past 23 years we’ve worked hard to serve up authentic and traditional Italian fare and being recognised in this way further cements our reputation as a world-class offering. Using only the finest ingredients and with flair and creativity, our chef Richard Burt continues to come up with a selection of decadent seasonal dishes. Located at the Marina Mirage at Main Beach on the Gold Coast, Ristorante Fellini has been operating for two decade by Percuoco and his partners, Richard Burt and Raffaele Di Benedetto. The restaurant spins a modern twist on traditional Italian cuisine and has won more than 100 awards. Wes Lambert, CEO of Restaurant & Catering said the Fellini team should take pride in this achievement, as hospitality is a hard business. “There’s a lot of blood, sweat and tears that goes into to making it work. But when you get the right mix of staff, produce and service, the results can be extraordinary,” Lambert said.
