Tracey Holland’s reflexology studio at Camp Hill is a space where physical and emotional wellbeing can coincide, where clients can decompress and focus on themselves.
“Clients can expect a reflexology session that will improve their overall health and wellbeing, which brings their body back into balance and simultaneously produces a state of deep relaxation and calmness,” she said. “They can zone out and totally switch off from the outside world.”
Tracey is immediately welcoming. As a one-woman operation, her studio is free of the sounds of other reflexologists or clients, and when you are there, she wants to establish that this is a refuge from the hustle of everyday life and obligations. Rather, it is an afternoon of treating yourself — with a healthy twist.
“Reflexology promotes balance in the physical, mental, emotional and energetic levels of the body,” she said.
“These reflex points respond to pressure which stimulates the body’s own innate healing response.”
According to Tracey, she is one of just a handful of practitioners who offer Japanese Cosmo Face Lifting. Think of it as a non-surgical, holistic face lift (no needles required) for brighter, younger-looking skin. The “face lift” is an hour-long massage, focusing on targeted points on the face to kindle physical and emotional wellness. The process helps increase blood flow to eliminate toxins and lymphatic drainage.
It also naturally increases the production of collagen and elastin, the skin’s building blocks, which result in suppler, firmer skin and a more youthful appearance. Created by internationally renowned reflexologist Lone Sorenson, the procedure is meant to stimulate a glowing complexion while releasing endorphins for holistic wellness.
“Japanese Cosmo Lifting firms and tones the foundation muscles that support the facial structure,” said Tracey. “At the same time offering all the health benefits of a reflexology session balancing the body and placing you in a state of deep relaxation.”
The treatment also includes the use of a facial elixir infused with 24 carat gold leaf. Skeptics, be assured that gold is more than just a way to make the treatment sound more luxurious (although it does that, too).
The metal is an antioxidant and has been found to assist in reducing acne, skin redness and other inflammation.
But sessions are about more than just pampering. Tracey’s clients have struggled with a variety of physical conditions that her treatments have helped alleviate. “The most rewarding moment has been seeing my clients who have struggled through fertility issues and/or IVF cycles finally with a baby in their arms,” said Tracey.
The reflexologist is continuously expanding her knowledge and range of offerings. She recently attended training for the Sally Kay Reflexology Lymph Drainage Reflexology technique, which focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet.
She also hopes to travel to the United Kingdom for post-graduate training with experts in Fertility Reflexology and Facial Reflexology in 2018 and 2019.
