Globally recognised workspace company WeWork will celebrate opening its first Brisbane location in December with a one day pop up installation in the CBD’s Queen Street Mall on Monday 19 November.

Brisbane will mark the third city for WeWork in Australia, following nine locations in Sydney and Melbourne, connecting local businesses and entrepreneurs with a global community of more than 270,000 creators and access to more than 280 WeWork locations around the world. Expanding to Brisbane will broaden WeWork members’ access to work across the east coast and support Brisbane City Council’s mission to be a centre for growth, digital innovation and technology.

WeWork Australia General Manager Balder Tol, said: “Technology has completely changed the way people live, work, and play, and we are seeking human to human connection now more than ever. Everything we do is focused around fostering a global community. Much more than just a workspace, we are actively bringing an already flourishing community of local entrepreneurs, startups and larger companies together with like-minded people all over the world. Curated for members to connect, learn, and grow, events are an essential part of the WeWork experience. Designed to bring people together every day, space is our platform, and community is our catalyst, so events are an opportunity to connect with other people in real life. ”

Open to the public on Monday 19 November, the experiential space will be an opportunity for the Brisbane community to get a ‘taste’ of WeWork with a complimentary breakfast including free Acai Flow acai bowls and an onsite Industry Beans barista as befits a WeWork space. The morning pop-up, running from 7am to 11am, will also include a mini virtual reality lounge, entertainment from local radio station Nova 106.9 and ample seating for the community to come together and celebrate the start of the week, allowing visitors the opportunity to experience the comforts of a WeWork office space.
