The Nambour Winter Jazz Fest celebrated its third year on Saturday 21 July with a day of sunshine, smiles, tapping feet, food, wine and beautiful music.

The Festival kicked off with workshops for local young, talented and emerging musicians where attendees could sit and learn from some of the industry’s top musicians – James Sherlock (internationally recognised Jazz guitarist) and Willy Qua (saxophonist and percussionist from Galapagos Duck). Alongside the workshops The Jazz Walk showcased 15 groups of musicians performing in four venues around Nambour, filling C-Square with music and bringing together all styles of jazz and a New Orleans atmosphere in the afternoon. From the gypsy jazz of De La Vega’s Vagabonds, the world jazz of Estampa, the sound of New Orleans with The French Quarter Alligators to the old-world charm of Me and My Chauffeur, there was an incredible variety of music and something for everyone. Followed by The Jazz Walk was The Supper Club, offering attendees with an intimate dinner and show featuring the inimitable Vince Jones Quartet. Ably supported by Sharny Russell, it was an enjoyable evening of music.

Nambour Winter Jazz Fest is a celebration of jazz on the Sunshine Coast with the best musical experiences and excitement. Located in the C-Square complex, Nambour and the Nambour RSL Club, the program appeals to music lovers and jazz enthusiasts of all ages.
