What came first, the chicken or the egg?

On Friday, September 6, people flocked to Newstead for the grand opening of the highly anticipated Yolk. Their pared-back menu is cheekily chicken-centric, with most items allowing the star ingredient to shine. Everyone was egg-static to get their hands on Yolk’s signature dish, the humble bacon and egg roll, with a side of orange juice, of course. Although we are still unsure whether the chicken or the egg came first, what we do know is that the folks at Yolk have the staple Australian breakfast down-pat.
