Luxury boutique hotel, Emporium Hotel South Bank, has just launched their Spring Signature culinary collection. The three stage degustation menu, created by Michelin trained husband and wife duo, Chris Norman and Alex Liddle, prides itself on offering only the finest locally sourced produce. Paired with an atmosphere that is as intimate as it is architecturally exquisite, restaurant goers are invited to enjoy a bespoke culinary experience that boasts some of Australia’s best cuisine. Emporium has spared no detail, awarding guests with an experience that touches all the senses; from the 150 year old stain glass windows imported from France, to the smooth velvet armchairs and rich onyx bar tops.
Emporium South Bank opened its doors September 2018 and marks as Emporium’s second hotel in Brisbane. The five star hotel is a welcome addition to the growing fine dining scene, and is a haven for both design lovers and food and wine connoisseurs alike. The space, rendered in hues of rich pink, burnt orange, and crystallised white, is rivalled only by the vibrant colours of each dish. One such item is the scarlet prawns, a delicacy that has been touted as the ‘big, beautiful heroes of the sea.’ Nationally crimson red and similar in taste to lobster, these coveted prawns can only be sourced 500 – 2000 metres below sea level – a far deeper search than their commercial counterparts.
Each dish is expertly paired with a glass of wine by an in house sommelier, completing what is altogether a thoroughly divine culinary experience.
