More than 300 lawyers attended the two-day Australian Lawyers Alliance Queensland State Conference, held at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort on the Gold Coast on Friday 16 February. The event featured a keynote speech from former High Court Justice Ian Callinan AC, and the announcement of the 20th Queensland Civil Justice Award recipient, women’s rights activist Debbie Kilroy. This year’s conference focused on examining legislative developments, case studies and practical tips for practitioners to successfully seek justice for their clients.
