Baillie Lodges has put forth $10 million to renovate Silky Oaks Lodge in 2020. After acquiring the Tropical North Queensland bolt-hole in April, Baillie Lodge will close down Silky Oak Lodge for four months from April 22 2020, to September 7 2020, to accommodate the renovations. This affords regular guests of the Lodge enough time to soak up the Lodge as it is before its exciting renovations in 2020.
Specifically, the renovations are expected to see Silky Oaks Lodge’s aesthetic design align with Baillie Lodges; inviting a new fresh and vibrant atmosphere to the already beloved getaway destination. Guests can also expect to enjoy new outdoor experiences including a reimagined riverbank area where a new firepit will illuminate the rainforest at any time of day. Meanwhile, the pool area will be modernised with new pool-side loungers and cabanas. The lodge will also offer a variety of new suites to suit everyone’s needs. Of particular note is the floor-to-ceiling glass walls offering an immersive experience of the forest when you book to stay in the ultra-premium suite, while the new Billabong suites will offer new king size beds, generous indoor areas, and deck access for viewing and relaxing.
Visitors can also expect a vibrant new menu upon reopening in September 2020. Complete with a variety of gourmet breakfast options, evening sunset drinks and a four-course daily changing dinner menu with premium wins to match Silky Oaks Lodge is sure to become a foodies dream. Silky Oaks will also continue to offer a full range of bespoke adventures with the added incentive that when they reopen in September 2020 the experiences will be better than ever. Set adjacent to the World Heritage-listed wilderness of the Daintree National Park and along the banks of the gently flowing Mossman River, and access to Port Douglas and the Great Barrier Reef, Silky Oaks Lodge is a natural adventure wonderland.
