Soul Kitchen Bakery opened its doors to the public this month, embracing the vegan revolution and taking the title of the Sunshine Coasts first all vegan bakery. Based in Maroochydore, Soul Kitchen Bakery is a plant based bakery creating gluten free, vegan baked goods, savouries and raw desserts. The bakery is situated along the fast paced road of Aerodrome, within walking distance of coastal views.

Hugh and Shirley Forster are the husband and wide duo behind Soul Kitchen Bakery, where they began their journey as vegan treat wholesalers but were overwhelmed with the high demand for vegan baked treats. From wholesalers to retailers, Hugh and Shirley knew what their customers wanted and they delivered.

For people with more of a sweet tooth the bakery offers a variety of sweet desserts including, doughnut holes, macaroons, red velvet cupcakes, lemon meringue pies, ginger nut cookies and their own special Soul Brownies. For their savoury selection, their menu includes potato meat pie, veggie and spinach pie, quiches and their popular sausage rolls. The bakery’s interior welcomes crowds in, creating a warm vibe, perfect for an unfussy and relaxed meal. Brass picture frames line the walls, creating a vintage feel yet still modern and classic.

Soul Kitchen Bakery is renown for creating vegan and gluten free masterpieces but the bakery is also a one-stop shop, serving coffee for busy commuters and the coast locals. Soul Kitchen Bakery is tackling the vegan stereotype, creating sweet and savoury treats that taste as good as they look. All products created at Soul Kitchen Bakery is 100 per cent gluten free, dairy free, egg free and additive free.
